Local Rules


1. Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2) defined by

    1.1 White Stakes and/or White Lines.  Where both the stakes and white lines exist, use the lines to define the area

    1.2 Areas adjacent to the opposite side of the penalty area

2. Penalty Area (Rule 17)    2.1 Penalty Area are defined by the yellow stakes and/or yellow lines

   2.2 Penalty Area are defined by the red stakes and/or red lines

   2.3 In case there are both lines and stakes in the same area, use the lines to define the area.

3. Obstructions (Rule 15)

   - Advertising Board

4. Immovable Obstructions (Rule 16)

    - Cart path (concrete, asphalt) , Drainage and Gutter ( metal, concrete, PVC)

   - Valve covers, Sprinkler heads and Control boxes, Water-pump plant

   - Drainage grating

   - Rubber mats

   - Refreshment and rest huts, Caddies toilet

   - Trees with supporting stakes

   - Permanent signs, Pylons and Lamp posts, Tee Box Marker

5. Temporary Immovable obstructions TIO

- Score board, Tent, Platform, Stadium

6. Abnormal Course Condition ; No play Zone (Rule 16.1f)

- All areas surrounded by white lines

If the ball lies in the area, or if it interferes with the player's stance or the area of his intended swing,  the player must take relief under Rule 16.1b

7. Embedded Ball (Rule 16.3)   

Rule 16 .3 is modified in this way:

Free relief is not allowed when a ball is embedded in stacked turf faces or soil faces above bunkers.

8. Integral Parts of the Course

   - Bushes and Flower beds

    - Rock gardens

9. Abnormal Course Conditions (Rule 16)

    9.1 Relief will be denied for interference to stance from a hole, cast or runway made by a burrowing animal, reptile or bird

Any seam of new turf or poor condition through the putting green interfering with the lie of ball or area of intended swing.  All seams forming part of the condition are to be treated as the same seam for the purposes of Rule 13.1c (2)
